The next musical stylings to hit the stage of the Show Me Center will be We the Kings.

Once every two years the Student Acitivites Council of Southeast Missouri State University finds one popular artist to perform at the Show Me Center. This year, with much research and a student poll on the portal, SAC's music committee chose We the Kings to perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Show Me Center.

"We are extremely excited to perform at Southeast Missouri State," lead vocalist Travis Clark said in an interview with his publicist. "We can't wait to start the MTVU Campus Invasion Tour."

The MTVU Campus Invasion Tour is a five-stop college campus tour featuring We the Kings, Fabolous, Jason Derulo, Jay Sean and Chiddy Bang. While Southeast is not an official stop on the MTVU Campus Invasion Tour, Brent Mulligan, the band's publicist, said the band is making a pit stop to perform for Southeast students.

Discount tickets are available to students for this show with a valid student ID. On the first day of sales, SAC offered the first 100 students in line free tickets to the concert. The next 400 students with a valid ID can get tickets for a discounted rate of $5.

After discounted tickets are gone, the tickets are $20 for students and $25 for the general public. All tickets are general admission.

Trevor Mulholland, SAC music director, said the council provided a chance for two pairs of students to win free front row tickets. He said all a student needed to do is make a two-to-three minute video saying why they deserved the free tickets. Each entry must then be posted on SAC's Facebook wall at facebook.com/semosac. The two videos with the most Facebook likes won the sets of tickets. The last day to submit a video was Nov. 7.

"Since this is a wholly SAC-funded concert we chose to give out a high number of discounted tickets," Mulholland said.

The Floridian band has released three studio albums, the latest, entitled "Sunshine State of Mind," was released on July 5.

Students may know We the Kings from its two Billboard Hot 100 records, "Check Yes Juliet," and We'll Be A Dream," featuring Demi Lovato.

Tickets are still available at the Show Me Center box office and also online at showmecenter.biz.
