White House announces ban on Russia oil

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden announced a ban on Russian oil imports, according to the Associated Press. The White House stated this decision comes from “actions to continue to hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and unjustified war on Ukraine.” Biden said this might bring increased cost to Americans at the gas pump but said, “We will not be part of subsidizing Putin’s war.”
