The 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang are officially underway and there are some sports that you just can’t miss.

1. Bobsleighing

After watching the Jamaican bobsleigh team, how can this sport not excite you. Watching men and women jump into sled and seeing them fly down an ice track just gets people’s adrenaline running.

2. Speed Skating

I can thank Apolo Anton Ohno for getting me addicted to this sport.

3. Snowboarding

Just like everyone else, I can thank Shaun White for bringing excitement to this sport, especially the half-pipe. Mr. White, please bring back the long hair though.

4. Luge

Just like bobsleighing, but with just one person. Seeing someone going down an ice track at 80 miles per hour just brings another level of danger into a sport that seems so harmless.

5. Ice Hockey

Even though professional players aren’t playing in this year’s Winter Olympics, ice hockey is still an exciting sport and seeing amateur hockey players will bring even more excitement to the game. This is the first time amateur hockey players have been in the Olympics since the Miracle on Ice happened in 1980 in Lake Placid, New York.

6. Short Track Speed Skating

Just like regular speed skating but on a shorter track obviously. The shorter track though just makes the sport make it a little more exciting as there is more room for a mistake to happen which can cause a wipe out of multiple people.

7. Curling

Let’s be honest, no one knows what the rules are, but it can get pretty intense pretty quick.

8. Ski Jumping

Who knew that you could fly so far while on skis? That’s what makes this sport so exciting to watch as you can see someone fly over 100 meters and win an Olympic medal.

Don’t forget to tune into any channel where you can watch the Winter Olympics and watch at least one of these sports. You have until Feb. 25 to catch the most exciting sporting event.
