Kent Library will host its third annual Library Murder Mystery event at 5 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 20 in Kent's reading room. The event is free to participate and it will include refreshments and the chance to win two Kaldi's Coffee gift certificates

Students will become more familiarized with the library by participating in the two-hour long event, which allows students to work together in a small team by putting clues together to solve a murder.

The Kent Library Student Outreach Committee's goal for the event is to convince more students to become more involved in the library.

“Everybody wins at the end and everybody has a great time.”

says Leah McAlister, KSOC co-chair and organizer of the event.

McAlister told us that the KSOC hosts events like the Murder Mystery regularly to get more students into the library. KSOC hosted a Halloween costume party last semester. The Edible Book Festival is an upcoming event that the KSOC will host on April 5.

Leah encourages everyone to come out and participate in the KSOC's free events because students and staff have the opportunity to interact with one another in a scholastic and fun environment.

For those who are interested in attending the event, register online prior to the event at http://library.semo.edu/content/library-murder-mystery.
