On Saturday Oct. 12 senior quarterback Paxton DeLaurent broke SEMO’s record for all time passing yards and passing touchdowns against Tennessee Tech University. DeLaurent broke the all time passing yards record on the first drive of the game, and broke the passing touchdown record with a pass to junior wide receiver Tristan Smith for his 17th passing touchdown this season, bringing his career total to 47.

DeLaurent passed the previous record formerly held by Daniel Santacaterina for passing touchdowns, and Jason Liley for passing yards, a record that has stood since 1992.

DeLaurent is one of four quarterbacks in SEMO history to throw for over 5,00 yards joining Liley, Santacaterina, and Jeff Brown.

DeLaurent is also one of only three quarterbacks in program history to throw over 40 career touchdown passes joining Santacaterina and Brown.

DeLaurent currently leads the OVC for passing touchdowns, now extending his lead to 17 touchdowns total.
