DeLaurent sets all time passing and TD records with 418 yards and 4 TDs, leading SEMO to a 34-3 victory over Tennessee Tech. SEMO remains undefeated in OVC, claiming first place. Next up: Charleston Southern on Oct 19.

DeLaurent broke the all-time passing yards and passing touchdowns record today against Tennessee Tech with 418 passing yards and 4 touchdowns, finding receiver Cam Pedro for 6 catches 111 yards and a touchdown. SEMO won the high stakes OVC matchup 34-3. SEMO moved to 3-0 and sole first place of the OVC conference.

SEMO started off with the ball to begin the day and let Paxton DeLaurent throw it early as he was looking to break the all-time passing yards record at SEMO, the Redhawks would drive down the field into the red zone setting up DC Pippin for a 39 yard attempt that he would push wide right.

DeLaurents next two drives resulted in an interception giving Tennessee Tech the ball back in both drives.

SEMO drove down the field on their next drive and set up Pippin for a chip shot 24 yard field goal which he drilled giving SEMO a 3-0 lead in the second quarter.

DeLaurent the very next drive would break the all-time passing touchdowns record finding receiver Tristan Smith for a 13 yard touchdown, Pippin drained the PAT giving SEMO a 10-0 lead.

As both defenses stalled out to end the half and no points would be scored until 8 minutes left in the third quarter where Tennessee Tech drove down the field and made a 43-yard field goal

After that it was all Redhawks, just one drive later DeLaurent found Cam Pedro across the middle for a 46 yard touchdown increasing the Redhawks lead to 17-3.

On the very first drive of the fourth quarter just 30 seconds into the drive DeLaurent found reliable tight end Mitch Sellers on a 31 yard bomb making the lead 24-3.

The very next drive SEMO quickly moved down the field and found one of the OVCs’ best in Dorian Anderson for a six yard touchdown.

Pippin would also finish the day grabbing another field goal, SEMO would end up pulling away in the second half winning 34-7.

DeLaurent on his record day shined throwing for 418 and 4 touchdowns.

The red hot Redhawks travel down south to Charleston Southern for another intense OVC matchup. The game at Charleston Southern will kick off at 3:00 PM Oct 19.
