SEMO Volleyball clinches Ohio Valley Conference title with a sweep over SIUE, securing the right to host the postseason tournament. Catch the Redhawks in action against Tennessee State on Nov. 24.

The SEMO volleyball team has won the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title after sweeping SIUE at home on Wednesday Nov. 20.

The Redhawks were led with dominant performances from both sophomore outside hitter Lucy Arndt, and graduate student right side hitter Abby Johnson, both with 12 kills up front and two blocks. Sophomore libero Nina Schuberth ended the night with 20 kills.

With this win, the Redhawks clinched not only the OVC title, but also the privilege of hosting the postseason tournament, which starts on Sunday, Nov. 24.

The Redhawks enter the tournament with an 8-1 record this year at home, and a conference record of 15-3.

The Redhawks next game will take place at 4 p.m. against No. 8 seed Tennessee State University on Sunday, Nov. 24 at Houck Field House in Cape Girardeau, MO.
